There is no denying where football is headed. In my 20 years as a high school asst. coach I have witnessed the game change a great deal. I have watched the coaches who are willing to adapt to that change as unfamiliar as it was be able to win at the highest level. Urban Meyer and Nick Saban are excellent examples of this. Urban found out he could win BIG championships with J.T. Barrett but could win a national title with a guy like Caradle Jones. Which is why I believe he went and got Haskins, a much better version of the same guy. Saben was a 3 yards and a cloud of dust guy like Harbaugh but knew he had to adapt or fall by the wayside. Most coaches like to do what they have had success with. But sometimes the thing that makes you good can keep you from being great. Hopefully Harbaugh is self aware enough to realize you have to deal with things the way they are and not the way you want them to be. The game isn't going backward Coach adapt or die.
