A year ago I saw Jim at an alumni and football gathering in SoCal. I presented him with a very famous boot. It was the right boot initially given to Bo to commemorate Bo's 200th win overall as a head coach in college football. He had 165 at Michigan and 35 at Miami of Ohio. Eventually, Bo finished with 194 victories at UM. The 200th win was at Wisconsin under the lights on October 5,1986, in Jim Harbaugh's senior year. It was the first night game ever played at Camp Randall under the lights, which were portables brought in by the broadcaster. See the Chicago Tribune a day later.

In that Wisconsin game it was also noteworthy when Jim Harbaugh became the first Michigan QB to throw for over 300 yards. The score was 34-17 for the good guys. Harbaugh threw for one score and ran for one TD'

When Bo was asked after the game, what 200 wins means, he replied 'that I am old".
When Jim was asked what playing for Bo meant to him, Jim said "I am playuing for a "living legend". Some day I will remember this game and be able to tell my children and grandchildren that I played for a living legend in his 200th win". Jim, that day has come as you are now a grandpa.
