When a player red-shirts, I assume their scholarship still counts against the 13 limit for the year?
The reason I ask this is I read somewhere on here a couple days ago regarding next year and trying to take another kid (Kenny Williams), someone mentioned if Spike were to red-shirt that would free up a scholarship for Williams, that is not correct, right?
Now if Austin were to be converted to a medical scholarship, which if I am correct that would end his basketball career at Michigan and he would become a non-athlete student at U-M, that would free up a basketball spot for someone in 2015.
Are my above scenarios correct?
