In looking at the scholarship chart for 2020/21 - which seems very distant but is in fact only two years away - that’s really a bit of a rebuilding/reloading year.

After adding Zeb Jackson, we have one open scholarship, but that also assumes Davis will get a fifth year, Poole will stick around for his senior year, and Iggy will stay for three years. If I were a betting man, I’d say at least 2 of the 3 - and maybe all 3 - will be gone.

I think we’ll need to add a big, as we’ll have only Castleton and Johns (if indeed Johns makes the move to the five). And really, we’ll probably need a four too, as Livers will be a senior.

Another top priority, I would think, would be another good shooting wing. Hopefully Bajema/Wilson can step in and start at the 2/3. But we’ll need depth and talent there.

As it looks to me now:

PG: DeJulius (junior), Jackson (frosh)

SG: Brooks (senior), Bajema (sophomore)

SF: Wilson (sophomore), Nunez (junior)

PF: Livers (senior), Johns (junior)

C: Castleton (junior), Johns (junior)

I’d predict that by 2021-22, Johns will be in the NBA, and Wilson might have a shot, too. We’ll need to add some star power at the 3, 4, and 5 positions going forward.

I like the direction of our recruiting a lot, and with another strong year on the court, I’d expect us to keep bringing in the type of kids that make us a strong contender to make deep NCAA tourney runs.
