This team is on the brink of a few records:
- Michigan has only finished the season undefeated at home 4 times. The last being 1976-77. Just 2 of those seasons were at Crisler.
- Michigan is 12-1 in Big 10 play with 4 games left, meaning it can get to 16-1. If Michigan wins all 4 it will have the highest regular season Big 10 winning percentage in team history. If they lose a game they will fall behind 84-85 and 76-77, both finished 16-2.
- 30 Michigan teams have won 20 or more games. This will be the 31st. Just 5 teams have won 30. If Michigan sweeps the remaining 4 regular season game it will get to 21. If it makes the Final 4 it will get to 25. So it's possible to get to 30 wins this season with a good finish to the regular season, a deep BTT run, and a deep NCAA run.
- School record for season winning percentage is 86% (twice). If Michigan goes 3-1 to finish the regular season they're at 90%. Without bothering to do additional math, Michigan has a real chance to beat this record.
- Livers needs 54 points to join the 1,000 point club for his career. He needs 78 rebounds to join the 500 rebounds club. Only 30 players in Michigan history are on both lists. Zak Irvin and Derrick Walton are most recent members.
- Louis Bullock holds the best career FT% at 86.18%. Livers was above that mark until some recent misses. He's now in 2nd all time at 85.4%. Walton is third at 83.66% and Stauskas is 4th at 83.16%.
- Hunter Dickinson will have to return to his earlier form if he wants to pass Maceo Baston's freshman record FG% of 67.4%. For awhile Hunter was above that mark, but now he's down to 62.6%. He should just make all his shots against the Spartans. FYI, to qualify for the career record you need 300 attempts. Jordan Morgan is 1st at 63.1%. Hunter only has 171 attempts.
