Some miscellaneous individual records that Michigan's basketball players are chasing:

Zavier Simpson: currently at 179 assists for the year, good enough to edge Dave Baxter for 8th all time in a season. If Michigan plays just the minimum 4 guaranteed games (2 reg season, 1 BTT, 1 NCAA) and he maintains his 6.2 APG average, then he'll finish with 204 assists on the year. That would be only the 5th time a Michigan player has exceeded 200 assists on the year. He won't catch Trey at 260 (#1), but if Michigan goes on a run in the BTT and NCAA he could catch Morris, Grant, and Rumeal at 235, 234, and 233 respectively. He'd need 8 games to have a realistic shot (so 4 more games in addition to 4 guaranteed right now. That's doable).

John Teske: currently at 65 blocks, good enough for 10th in a season. If he maintains his season average over four more games he'll finish at 74, placing him 6th. He can easily catch Eric Riley at 5th (78) even without extra games. With some extra games he could catch freshman Webber (84), but probably not sophomore Webber (91). Roy Tarply set the record in 86-86 at 97 blocks, Udoh is second with 92. Teske basically has the record for most blocks by a junior locked up (Roy Tarpley, 66).

Isaiah Livers: currently at 44.3% from three. To crack the top 10 for a season he needs to get to 44.44% (Gary Grant, 87-88). Only player since 1997 to crack the list: Duncan Robinson 15-16 at 45.00%. Since Livers only has 88 attempts (need 50 to qualify), he can climb the list pretty quickly. For example, if he goes 3/4 next game he'll jump to 45.65% and pass Duncan at 8th. But even if he goes all Donte DiVincenzo and makes his next 12 he'll still be shy of Glen Rice at #1 51.56%.

Jordan Poole: currently at 62 made three pointers. Needs to get to 77 to crack the top 10 for a season. He could do that in the remaining four games, but I'd bet against it. However, I'd say he's almost certain to do it with some extra games. Bullock is #1 at 101, Stauskas 8th at 80, Duncan 9th at 78 last season, and Zak Irvin at 77 in 14-15. He'll have to shake out of this 5-game slump during which he is just 28% (9/32). He needs to get back to his form from the start of the season until January 1, during which he shot 50% from three. Since then he's really struggled, dropping this percentage all the way down to 38%. Despite those struggles he can still crack the list for most 3's in a season!

Iggy: currently at 424 points. Jalen Rose set the freshman record of 597 points, which he scored over 34 games. Iggy is not catching him if Michigan plays 5 more games and gets to 34 games. Iggy would only be at 497 points (if he scored his season average of 14.6 ppg). I couldn't find a list of top 10 freshmen scorers at Michigan, so I don't know exactly where Iggy stands in the pantheon of Michigan freshmen scorers. Webber had 528 points his freshman year. Manny Harris had 516. Trey Burke had 504 points, so Iggy would just about match him if Michigan plays 5 more games. So Rose, Webber, Harris, Burke. That's an elite list to join.
