when compared to the pick up game I guarded Isiah Thomas back in the day. PSU had weapons at every position and used a great offensive scheme to set up mismatches on most every play. Our defense was basically playing Russian roulette on every play.
The hardest thing for me to watch was when PSU was on defense it looked like they had 15 guys within a few yards of the LOS and the center at the snap. When they had us on defense , they had us spread to defend all quarters and 3 seconds into the play we were covering huge portions of the field while often going in the wrong direction. Hats off to a helluva an offense.
