All this talk about Bama & now Clemson......should they lose a game.....and whether they’re still in the Top 4 or not is getting a bit stale.
And all the talk of the inevitable Bama/Clemson Part IV is annoying as well. Should the other teams bother to show up?
If Michigan, hypothetically, played & beat Arkansas instead of playing & losing to Notre Dame on opening night, they’d be undefeated too. Not all schedules are created equal, and Michigan has looked just as dominant as those two.
Clemson barely beat Texas A&M (probably shouldn’t have since A&M fumbled ball out of the end zone for touchback) and Syracuse (huge 4th down conversion to save them). Nobody seems to remember that stuff......
Speaking of amnesia......terrible 1st quarter @ ND doomed us. Patterson was learning Harbaugh & vice versa. He also got hurt & left game couple times. But how about this......Winovich late hit gave ND a TD instead of FG. That’s 4 points. Holder dropped snap on our FG attempt. That’s 3 points. So we lose by 7 points on the road with those 2 key plays, a zillion costly penalties, Metellus ejected, etc. Yes.....we lost. Is what it is. But other than Northwestern comeback (which was impressive in its own right), Michigan has been just as dominant as Bama/Clemson. But they have an L in the loss column, so it’s as if they’re not even part of the conversation in the same light.
If Clemson loses, along with 2 close calls and weaker league schedule, they have to drop. Sorry.....but their resume isn’t so much better. But they don’t have an L.
Must be nice to play 8 game league schedules. Committee needs to look at that when inflating ACC & $EC teams that have less losses.....but play less league games & then schedule cupcakes to compensate for that!
Rant over.....Just Win.
Go Blue!!!
