Wiscy-UNC
- Decker is much more athletic than I thought. He was the most athletic player on either team. He's long and can jump....really jump. A few times where he took off and it was like "where is he going with this?" - and then he dunked it. Impressed with him.
- Kaminsky seemed to sleepwalk through 30 minutes of the game, but he turned it on in go time and then iced it at the end. The 3 he hit seemed to get the whole team going. Suddenly others were pouring them in too.
- UNC played really well I thought. Just got outclassed in the last 10 minutes.
- Meeks in particular gave Wiscy a lot of trouble. He was too strong down low. Wiscy had trouble guarding UNC's bigs.

Really fun game to watch. Back and forth and close the whole way. Plus two good fan bases showed up, although Wisconsin looked to have more representation (difficult to tell perfectly because Zona wears red as well)

Xavier - Zona
- Zona is by far the most athletic team I saw today. But they're sloppy. The point guard has next level quicks but threw at least 3 no-look pass turnovers.
- First 5 minutes everyone in that arena thought Zona was going to win by 30. There was a very noticeable difference in athleticism, speed, and Xavier looked like they were just getting totally outclassed. Then they just grinded. Grinded and grinded. Mucked it up, OWNED the paint. THat mountain of an ogre that plays for them (Stainbrook?) could not be stopped 1-on-1. And Zona just didnt do anything to take him out of rhythm until the last 5-10 minutes. Once they doubled him, he caved. Why they didnt try a double earlier than 30-35 minutes into the game is beyond me. They almost lost sitting there playing the same way and letting that mountain back them down over and over and over.
- Super unimpressed with Zona's coaching. He was very content to just sit there and play the same way the whole game. Zona should beat Wisconsin based on talent, but have a sneaking suspicion they get outcoached again so the players will have to meaningfully outplay Wiscy - which is definitely possible. They also didnt try to attack Stainbrook in the paint until the last 5-10 mins - once they did that it became clear his defense was nowhere near as good his post game and he picked up a few fouls.

Zona-Wiscy
- Staples is a VERY pro-Zona crowd. Zona will be playing a home game Saturday. Their fans were asleep for 80% of the game, but if Wisconsin gets behind its going to be difficult to turn off the momentum.
- Whether Zona beats Wisconsin to me, depends on outside shooting. Zona really doesnt shoot well (or at least didnt look at all comfortable doing it today). But Wiscy didnt shoot all that well either on the whole. They need to bring their A game all game.
- Zona looks like the much more physical team, and Xavier was even more physical than they are. I'd say Wisconsin is the least physical of the 4 teams that played today. Zona should own the paint unless a different Kaminsky shows up than did today.
