I was wondering: what happens if the home team wins all 3 of...
PSU @ OSU
MICH @ PSU
OSU @ MICH
The tiebreaker, if this happened and all were 11-1, is that it would come down to the combined record of each of the three teams' B1G West opponents.
PSU will be the worst on this one, as their crossovers are Northwestern, Illinois and Iowa.
Michigan and OSU both play both Minnesota and Purdue.
So in this instance, the tiebreaker between Michigan and Ohio State would literally come down to who has a better record between Nebraska and Wisconsin.
We would lose the trip to Indy based on that.
And if a second B1G team were to still make the Playoff, it would be PSU, not us, since they will have beaten us.
We REALLY need to go into Happy Valley and win, because the above scenario is not farfetched at all.
