First, let me say I love the team concept that JH brings. That's perfect in my mind as to the concept to run. What we did see this season was "other teams" had aggressive players that took it to the rack strong and how well that works. We had a tough time with those type of players as a defense. Think OSU game & Illinois
However, I was wishing we had someone on our team "this year" that consistently would go to the rack hard and if necessary like that, that ability to get their own shot and get to the hole strong. We managed very well in our style getting guys open for a shot, but it was rare when someone would or could just take over a game and get to the hole no matter what.
Im just saying, going forward I hope and pray we continue the team concept game as we have now, but hopefully we will have in the future, kids who can just get their shot alone if needed! We will face great defenses that require get your shot type of players. Gonzaga has and does both! As for future kids, its seems Collins is that type of player.
We shall see on the rest. Its been a great season and certainly a pleasure to watch. More than expected and almost more than hoped for. Thank You team for a great season!!
