Argument w/sparty re: Monte Morris...little help?

I could have sworn we offered him and Walton...and, it was first to commit got the 1 spot. According to this site he wasn't offered either. Is that true? He also says Izzo stopped recruiting him for character issues - that's why ISU is a great fit for him. Can someone help jog my memory?
