However good or bad the members of this board think members of the football staff are everal facts remain:
  • Michigan’s won-loss record is seventh best among all FBS schools since Jim Harbaugh was hired as head coach.
  • Michigan will finish the 2018 season with a 10-2 or 11-2 record, resulting in a final top ten poll rating, maybe as high as 5th and probably participating in a prestigious New Year’s Six bowl game.
  • Again this year Michigan will have a top ten recruiting class.
  • More than half the football players on scholarship earned All Big Ten honors (a GPA of 3.0 or higher). And again this year all players who have completed their eligibility at Michigan are expected to earn a degree.
  • There have been no notable off-the-field issues involving Michigan players or coaches.
The big picture is a pretty damn good football program, improving and with a whole lot more upside than downside expected in future years.

Maybe posters on this board ought to consider the big picture before eviscerating individual coaches who have been part of achieving this record.
