Apparel change and 15 / 16 recruiting

Just thinking out loud here... Does anyone think the upcoming apparel negotiations could impact the decision to take a 15 kid now versus risk having a highly interested 16 kid back off if a switch is made? Given the nature of bball recruiting we might not get a bump fast enough from a potential Nike deal to land a 16.
