Just looking at Penn State's schedule from last year and noticed a few things. Most of their big games were at home. The ones that weren't, @Pitt and @Michigan, they lost. In fact, Michigan crushed them. Granted, they did squeak by O$U and blew out Iowa at home. Then they beat a solid, but not spectacular, Wisconsin team in the Big Ten Championship. This year their schedule is much more difficult despite their joke of a OOC schedule: @Iowa, @NW, @O$U, home against Michigan and Nebraska. Granted, they have an awesome RB and a good QB, but what else? Anyone on that defense scare you at all? Their top two defensive players, DE Garrett Sickels and DE Evan Schwan, are gone. Nobody else that I can think of was All-Big Ten last season.
Iowa was very similar last season: returned a bunch of starters from a 12-2 team. Granted, Iowa beat us last year at night at Iowa. I think PSU will be good this season and will win a lot of games, but top 10 and I've seen top 5 in the country? I don't see that. Anyone else agree?
