Anyone else think it's curious for Colorado to wear throwbacks?

UM beat them two years later at their stadium after the miracle play and then trashed them in 1997 when they played again in Ann Arbor. Plus it's the 22nd anniversary of the miracle game not exactly a golden anniversary.

Anything to self motivate and connect with ancient history I guess, my thought is you're probably provoking your opposing coach who loves to find ways to compete with a threat.

the same reason as Notre Dumb sometimes wears green jerseys -- to give the team an emotional edge.

Colorado is trying to bring attention to their program. Understandable. Both programs trying to regain some of their glory.

Some programs garner attention with crazy jersey or helmet creations. Some like Harbaugh do it with tweets, etc.

By the way AB...I am hitting with this really good YOUNG tennis player last night. He is probably 20 or so. He says to me...are you a Michigan fan? I said Yes...wearing some garb. He said they have a good team this year. He probably saw the rankings.

So I proceed to tell him that he is young but there was a time that UM was good but he is too young to remember it. The point is that there is a generation of fans who think UM is some 2nd tier football program.

Us 'older' guys have a different perspective of UM football. Being a Hoke 6-6 program was not a step up from the RR 5-7 era. OUR 10 year nightmare is over....well maybe 7 years.
