For a few years now I’ve sort of been resigned to the idea that someone - like a Texas A&M or an Alabama - will shoot past us and we’ll have neither the will nor the math to keep up.
Yet here we are, top of the heap at 107,601 and while 6 other universities have at least 101k, nobody since UTenn back in the day has flirted with the number 1 spot.
Sort of bizarre that there’s this clustering right beneath us but nobody seems to want to take the crown (and these aren’t programs who would typically shy away from a claim like that)
