Anyone been to or going to Rutgers have some suggestions about a pregame..

sports bar/good food place before the game?

Better off parking early at the general admission parking in the park just across the street from the stadium. If you get there early enough, you get a nice space on the grass similar in quality to a reserved type parking space right next to the stadium. Then tailgate. I enjoyed tailgating there, you have plenty of room for a tent and such. I'll do the same at Rutgers this year.

From the park? There is a walkway from the park directly across the street to the stadium.

Are you talking Johnson Park? That is general admission? What time does the location you are talking about open?

Bring rain gear for Matthew is coming up the coast by this Saturday. I pray not but you never know WHETHER the Weatherman is correct. "74
Looking for a sports bar to watch some football before our football. Yes, I am aware of some company called Google but there does not seem to be great options coming from a google search.

Check out Easton Ave. Lots of bars there. Stuff Yer Face is a Rutgers staple, where Mario Batali got his start in the restaurant business as a dishwasher. Sit at the bar and order a beer and a boli. A little further down is Brother Jimmy's, which is more of a true sports bar. If your looking a dive, Kelly's Korner and Olive Branch are the spots.

If you're a student, Olde Queens Tavern, Scarlet Pub, and Knight Club would be the places I'd check out.

Appreciate your help. Sounds like those may be our stops.
