A deep position. Three stats stood out to me from this article, (1) last year's leading rusher (Smith) only averaged 14 touches per game, and (2) most of Evans carries came in the 4th quarter of his games, including the bowl game, (3) the 3 returning RB's with game experience (Evans, Higdon, Isaac) rushed for over 1600 yards last year between them.

It looks like Jay Harbaugh has a tough job keeping everybody focussed and in the game. 4 guys will rotate at RB, and 3 others at FB. Somehow I see the starter, whoever it is, to average more than 14 touches per game, meaning he will likely surpass Smith's total from last season by far. If the other 3 average what they did last season, than as a team the total group should rush for about another 40 or more yards per game (on average) and hopefully get those tough yards when needed in the 4th quarter (where UM has a lot of trouble last year in select games).

The FB situation is awesome.
