As I may have mentioned a few times (OK, more than a few), my cousin Roger Trevisan passed away after a 14-year battle with cancer in July 2014. He was one of the best men I've ever known, and a HUGE Michigan fan. Therefore, I've been thrilled to watch his two children excel in cross country to the point that they both received scholarships to run at UofM. I know that Roger would have been tickled to watch his kids run for the Wolverines (and probably still is, just from a loftier vantage point).
Well ... I am now extremely proud that both of my young UofM cross country running cousins, Nicholas Trevisan (sophomore computer science major) and Maddy Trevisan (senior mechanical engineering major), were named to the Big Ten All-Academic Teams! They are great athletes, great students AND great people ... and both serve as lasting, living testaments to their amazing Dad. They make it even easier to root for the Maize and Blue!
