Ann Arbor - top places to live in America

UM's rivals who trash Ann Arbot know nothing about the city...

If it was closer to our work, my wife and I would raise our family there (we have 3 kids under 4).

Agreed, I grew up in Novi and it's no different than the suburb of Cincy that I moved to, except the average IQ may have dropped

Haven't got time to scroll down so far as to find the dump of Columbus, Ohio.

I agree, North of the city (Sterling Heights, Rochester, Oakland) is one of my favorte places to go when i travel for work.

You won't find Columbus on the list because it isn't eligible. The list is comprised of small to mid sized cities. Columbus is considered a big city. Was in AA for the 2013 game thought AA was a cool college town. The bars downtown were cool hangouts. Figured I would catch hell with my buckeyes jersey on but didn't. Two 70 year old ladies sitting behind me harassed me most of the game but was all in good fun. Would like to get back up for 2015 game should be a good one.

But Columbus has been listed as a top City by Forbes, Bloomberg, and Sperling, among others. It was also, rated as the best city for African American families by BET.

My family has been lifelong friends with people from Pickerington.....

and even they don't have many nice things to say about Columbus. These people neighbors at our up north cottage.

Since you guys loves lists so much, Ohio State Athletics was the only college represented on Forbes list of 10 Best Organization to work for in sports.

What Employees Are Saying:

"The culture of OSU Athletics is one of excellence that is focused on the growth and development of each person. It is an environment where all individuals are valuable members of the team with ideas to contribute and given the opportunity to lead those efforts. The department provides traditional education opportunities as well as engage's employees with projects to stretch them and grow new skills. Individuals are given autonomy at the local level to determine what works best for their group. Gene [Smith] truly supports each individual and allows them to lead. It is a culture of we and not me as cliché as that sounds. I am very thankful for the opportunity the Buckeye's have given me to grow my professional skills." - Janine Oman, Assoc Athletics Director Sport Administration/Sport Performance

I have a feeling you and your friends have very little nice things to say about anything.

I did consulting work in Columbus for about a year. I think it's a great town. It wasn't as great when I wore my maize and blue, but besides that, the town has a lot of good things going on.

Thanks for you honest evaluation bhamblue. Regarding the wearing of the M&B, are you saying that you got some good natured ribbing, or you were harassed? If you go to OSU's campus on any given school day, you will see students wearing all sorts of gear from other Universities. The second most popular colors after OSU is Michigan's. I'd say that it is the same throughout Columbus. Those people all seem to be ok.
