A few things of note in Michigan's region:
• Texas and Alabama are extremely hot, having both won their conference tournaments. Texas is currently riding a five-game winning streak and Alabama has won nine of its last 10 games.
• Two of the game's best offenses (according to KenPom) are in U-M's region — LSU at No. 5 nationally, and Florida State at No. 10.
• On the flip side, there are two top 20 defenses — Alabama at No. 2 and St. Bonaventure at No. 17.
