While we can all agree that the offense has vast room for improvement, apparently the defenses we've played so far are not as atrocious as I thought originally.
In terms of defensive efficiency, Air Force and Florida are both top 25 teams and UC, while a ways down in the 50s is still better than many power 5 teams.
Just something to chew on. I certainly wasn't expecting that. It probably doesn't mean very much this early in the season as I see that Purdue is actually ranked better in this stat than anyone we've faced so far (18th). The Purdue juggernaut is still coming for us.
