No matter what other offense plays are designed with Peppers in mind, put him on the wide side alone from time to time. No matter what he does -- or doesn't do -- this is going to demand the attention of the defense. It drove me nuts that Denard wasn't used as a decoy EVEN ONCE in the 2012 game at the Shoe when his elbow was still a wreck. Every single time he was in the game, Borges called his number. I still can't believe how foolish that was.
Put Peppers in a few times a game on offense, and perhaps once actually have him run a fly pattern or take the reverse. He won't have to learn much of the playbook, but the D will have to respect him. If you throw a Denard-to-Hemingway 50/50 jump ball way down the field to him once a game -- and my guess is that whoever actually starts at QB will throw a more accurate bomb than that -- who do you think is more likely to come up with it? Peppers or the defense?
