I checked his record since 1996 in the NCAA tournament. Here is what I found:

and 1997...not in tournament
4 seed...beat a 13 and a 5...lost to a 1
1 seed...beat a 16,13,9, and a 3...lost to a 1
1 seed...beat a 16,8,4,and a 2...beat a 8 (wisconsin) and a 5 (florida) for a NC
1 seed...beat a 16,12,11, and a 9...lost to a 2
10 seed...no wins...lost to a 7
7 seed...beat a 10,6, and a 2...lost to a 1
7 seed...no wins...lost to a 10
5 seed...beat a 13,12,2,and a 1...lost to a 1
6 seed...no wins...lost to an 11
9 seed...beat an 8...lost to a 1
5 seed...beat a 12 and a 4...lost to a 1
2 seed...beat a 15,10,3, and a 1...in the final 4 beat a 1 and lost to a 1
5 seed...beat a 12,9,6, and a 4...lost to a 5
10 seed...no wins...lost to a 7
...1 seed...beat a 16 and a 9...lost to a 4
3 seed...beat a 14 and a 6...lost to a 2
4 seed...beat a 13, 12, and a 1...lost to a 7
It's impressive that he gets his team into the dance almost every year, his results, though good, are far from him being labeled the greatest NCAA tournament coach of all-time. He's won 10 games when his team was the lower seed, but also lost 5 games when his team is the higher seed. Again ...good, but not God.
