Just got home from Malaysia and finally get to watch the game. In the 2nd qtr and a few observations:
- Ty is running really well but my goodness he does not like contact. 3 times he has had a chance to lower his shoulder and he pulls up. I wish he realized how big he is.
- DPJ needs to get the ball in space. He's electric. Tasty little bubble pass that he breaks around the edge on and gets a big gainer.
- What a shame Black got hurt late. He really looks good. The late season combo of he and DPJ could have been phenomenal
- The Evans fumble hurt momentum, but the offense doesn't look awful. Just can't punch it in for the TD. The play calls just don't seem to be creating space.
- Focusing on the Dline and getting off in the snap, at times it seems like Gary is a bit slow at the snap. If you watch the difference between he and Hurst, it is significant. It's not about being slow, just doesn't seem to anticipate as well as Mo. The result is easier to block, especially running plays. Nitpicking a bit though.
- Based on the board reaction, I expected much worse. Offense still trying to find a rhythm, but some nice positives as well.
My feeling, Purdue is in trouble this weekend. Just feels like a breakout game.
