I'm thinking with NO information other than my thoughts, is I think since the coaches picked the teams, they built weaknesses into both teams so nobody could get a good handle on what we have on the field.
If you noticed that the O-line was a mish mash of different personnel . If they were to put an all first team against an all first team than we would have been able to actually see what we have.
It's obvious to me, that like most other opinions that the D is definitely the strength of the team. Even with JR coming in in the fall, I wonder if the receivers will learn how to catch a ball from a QB who has been through the battles who actually throw to them and hit them in stride. The receiving corp has been spotty for some time and I believe that the past seasons with a QB who either ran first or threw picks instead of to his receivers has been the biggest problem with our passing game for these past seasons.
