Then after the Georgia win, I posted the attached below and was blasted again by some as being paranoid (as they were confident that Virginia would win) and by others as not giving MSU their due.
"Virginia has been playing like a 10-12 seed since Anderson was injured. MSU will win that game and get to the Final Four. Said it after the seeding. MSU got a favorable draw. Never easy getting to Final Four and it is "earned". That said, the East was the only region that MSU could have gotten there. Georgia - limited by injuries. Virginia - limited by injuries. Oklahoma - an overrated 3 seed. Villanova - way overrated top seed. I have MSU in the Final Four in my bracket and it makes me sick. Can hear it now .... "Tom Izzo once again gets to the Final Four." YUCK. It will likely be a factor for Winston in his decision making."
State is good but I think they are simply not as good as Wisc, Ariz, NC, (West Region) or Duke, Gonzaga, (South Region) or UK (Midwest). They would not be in the Final Four in the other regions. Don't get me wrong. MSU is a very very good team and playing well. I have loved Trice's play all year. That said, they are NOT one of the top four teams in the country right now.
The Izzo is Mr March talk has already begun and we will have to listen to it once again. Very favorable draw.
