Sitting at hockey practice, figured it was a good time to pass on a few things I have been told since the last game.
- Don't be surprised to see Patterson playing deep into the next three games, even if Michigan has a comfortable lead. There are still things they want to work on in the passing game for Ohio State, Indianapolis and the CFP.
- Running backs may have made the most of "opportunity week" of any position group. Several guys putting themselves in position to earn carries - although this weekend will be a heavy dose of Higdon again.
- As expected Tariq Black kicked the tires at MSU and so far so good. He's going to play more against Penn State. There are some mismatch opportunities that will be exploited this weekend. Be ready for more Eubanks.
- The offensive line continues to impress. JBB is good to go this weekend. For the first time in a long time Michigan has a solid 2 deep on the OL. Expect to see Mayfield, Filiaga, Spanellis, Honigford and Steuber more against Indiana and Rutgers. That shouldn't be news to anyone but Warinner is pushing for it. Live snaps are valuable and he knows it.
- Biggest concern with this team right now is the kick game. A message was sent post MSU to Nordin. Margin for error is gone.
