A few quick hitters on the defense....

- I was told to consider Rashan Gary as questionable. As I've been saying he wants to play badly. He's practicing. And will likely - not guaranteed - kick the tires this weekend like Black did at MSU.

- Whether Gary plays or not, the staff expects the DL to control this game. Dwumfour, Solomon and Paye were named as standouts during improvement week. This says alot considering injury history of all three.

- Look for much more Ross than Gil. And expect Khaleke Hudson to be heard from alot.

- As the mods mentioned earlier, Jordan Anthony has been impressive in practice. Sounds like he may see the field in November along with a couple of freshmen defensive backs.

- We've all seen Don Brown's comments on PSU game last year. He's prepared. And determined to make sure McSorley is not a factor.

- Lastly, it was shared with me that a former NFL safety has called Josh Metellus the best safety in college football right now. Agree or disagree, just having the discussion regarding Metellus says alot about how much he has meant to the Michigan defense. The same guy says Winovich, Gary and Bush are getting all of the attention but he thinks Metellus has been the guy they can not afford to lose.
