A win is a win, however ....

Road game, against rival, against Dantonio. Think Auburn is going to fight like hell against Alabama?

It was closer than the game indicated but it's hard getting a monkey off your back.

...that wasn't nearly the result I expected and wanted.

Clearly the better team ... but we need to bury teams like that.

But that 2 point PAT play just made up for a bit of it!

I was hoping for a much larger margin in the score to but I'll take what I can get.
I dunno which game was more stressful, this one or the wisci game.

We were most concerned about Speight's play on first big road game as starter, big win. Beside the closer than reality score, it was what I wanted

Whisky had 160 in total offense. MooU had that by halftime. I was impressed with red zone defense (until the end) but surprised by the ease of passing on the #1 defense in the nation.

Rivalry game or not the defense was exposed.

Secondary definitely didn't play like expected.
Hopefully they correct.

We played our D+/C game and still held a 20 point lead. I don't think practice will be too much fun this week.
Speight looked good today and the Goal line defense was great. I don't think the Defense was exposed just not as good today as it has been but a win is a win. If Clemson wins tonight I think we will drop to 3 in the polls.

First hostile road environment of the season, and also the first on natural grass (which can be a bigger transition than people think). I would have liked to have finished the game off sooner but whatever. You're going to have games like this in a championship season.

Those assholes(msu) didn't have paul bunyan out on the field for UM to grab and celebrate with. They delivered it to the locker room.
I guess seeing us take it away would have been to painful.

Anything can happen in a rivalry game. Remember a few years back when OSU was favored by 20+ points and we went for a 2 point conversion to almost beat them? I generally think you can not take much from rivalry games as anything can happen. Bottom line is - Sparty played really hard until the last second that is impressive and kudos to Dantonio for coaching that. I think we on the other hand backed off a bit - especially our O-line and secondary in the 4th quarter. We need to put teams like this away.

I don't "think" we will drop in the polls. It's not like it went to overtime! Huge rivalry game where sparty won 7 of last 8! They took care of business in the first half

That's the convention. MSU parades it around the field but U-M keeps it it the locker room. For them, this is the Super Bowl. For us, it's a rivalry but we've got bigger ambitions.

Coaches played not to lose after the Speight interception.. Everything went Sparty's way to keep this game from getting out of hand. I hope the coaches and players got it out of there system now because I don't want to ever see them playing not to lose again..
