Yes UM cannot abide by the SEC rules or be OSUesque but the lack of leadership on so many levels is just amazing.
1) The AD is a figurehead, plain and simple. Warde is invisible.
2) James Joseph Harbaugh, oh where have you gone. He looks like I used to leaving Calculus II class. His heart and soul do not look into it and the team has taken on that persona. As we have all said, either 2008 JH or 2011 JH...we got neither. After 2016 it was over and his inability to hold Don Brown accountable is perplexing.
3) Team Leadership. With the exception of 2016, it has been pretty weak. Who has stepped up and taken a leadership role. The starting QB the last two years loved his golf. Guys like Rashan Gary and Peppers were amazing talents...big plays when needed? Not so much. I have no idea who the leader is in the locker room, I don't think there is one.
JH has done a better job than RR or Hoke but that's not a high bar. I don't expect top 10 finishes every year but this team isn't even competitive. The decision will remain JH's. Warde doesn't have the power to hold JH accountable, Schlissel is an academic who could care less about Football.
JH walking away would not surprise me nor would him staying.
