20 months into Jim Harbaugh’s tenure we were the best team in the Big Ten and outplaying Ohio State in the shoe with an underwhelming and hurt qb.

With four minutes left in the game the penalty count was us 7 for 78 yards and OSU 1 penalty for 1 yard. (Yes, 1 penalty for 1 yard). This graphic was presented after OSU was handed a first down on a pass interference on third and long on a ball that looked uncatchable.

This is the forgotten story due to the 4th and 1.

We aren’t allowed to complain - Jim isn’t allowed to complain.

There is zero doubt in my mind who the better football team was that day. ZERO. Best team doesn’t always win. Happens for different reasons.

In 20 months Jim Harbaugh took our program that was a mess - to the best team in the Big Ten and the doorstep of the playoff.

Bad stuff has happened since then.

But the guy hasn’t forgotten how to coach.

This is why Wardes decisions are a lot harder than many (most) of you claim that it is.

No matter how much frustration there is with now - Matt Campbell is not a better bet than Jim
Harbaugh for us being the Big Tens best team.

Neither are good bets. But neither are bad options (assuming Matt Campbell is an option).

Things are never as bad as they seem.
