I've noticed a pattern that sometimes occurs when Michigan makes an NCAA tournament run.
When Michigan has a tournament game where the team overcomes significant adversity, the next game, we seem to catch fire and blow out the next opponent. In 2018, after Poole's last second shot to beat Houston, we crushed TA&M. In 2013, after the amazing comeback against Kansas, we crushed Florida. And in 1989, when we finally beat North Carolina in the tournament in a close game after losing to them in the tournament the two prior years, we crushed Virginia.
Maybe the first win creates a feeling of destiny. I hope it continues.
