Last year, we shot 35.2% for the year from 3 against DI opponents (I'm removing the 15-28 performance against Chaminade)--not anywhere near as good as we have been in the past, but respectable. At the end of our first five games, we were 38-135 (28.1%), despite playing three bad teams to start the year, followed by LSU (a bad defensive team) and VCU ( a thoroughly mediocre team in all respects). Beilein teams usually get better from the perimeter, as guys adjust to new roles and green lights in situations where, previously, there was another guy to carry the load from outside. I think that will happen again this year--I don't expect to have many (any) more games where Poole, matches and Brazdeikis are 1-12 from 3.
