1. This felt “like the old days” in a good way. There was anticipation, a bit of anxiety and whole lot of hitting “refresh” on the computer screen. NSD used to be HUGE for me but in recent years became ho-hum as we already knew our class well in advance and little changed on that day. Not this year it became fun again!
2. Not one recruit from Ohio. When did this happen before??? Ohio kids used to be the backbone of our class. Is this a trend or a one off? Population shifts may factor here.
3. No major surprises today. That’s a good thing. These can be good or bad. I have lived through too many, “I went to bed a Wolverine and woke up a …” than I care to count. Rips your heart out.
