Is current Florida OC Brian Johnson. Unbelievable recruiter, has learned from two of the best coaches in the nation (Kyle W at Utah and Dan Mullen). Somehow at only 33 years old he’s in his 11th season of coaching, after being hired as Utah’s QB coach at 23.
He is one of the top recruiters in the nation, has done tremendous work with basically every QB he’s coached (yes, I realize Mullen is a huge part of this), and runs a true “power spread” that embodies not only “speed in space” but brute physicality.
that’s the kind of hire at OC with a coach in waiting tag I’d love to see. I cannot imagine a scenario in which Florida let’s him get away, but he currently makes only 540k. We could certainly make a compelling offer.
