The FBI has a wide scope in this investigation, but it has neither the resources nor the interest in running down every allegation involving players, agents, AAU coaches, etc., and even where that happens, some cheaters cover their tracks better than others, and some have those doing their dirty work who won't roll over. Thus, while many, many more are going to get caught up in the wash before this is done, it is not a certainty that whichever school/coach/recruitment you have in mind as dirty is going to come out of this looking at indictments, firings or even sanctions; some will escape. The fans of these schools will trumpet that their programs are clean because, despite an FBI investigation, nothing was found. They're wrong--if it walk, looks and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. At the risk of overusing an example, the fact that Al Capone was only convicted on tax charges, not on murder, doesn't mean that he didn't commit murder. People commit crimes and get away with them all the time, even when law enforcement is watching.

I'm thrilled about what is going on here, because it's going to blow the roof off a lot of corruption, and that's good. I'm not naive enough though to believe that this will catch all the cheaters, or that there won't be some going forward. Hopefully, it will substantially reduce the amount..
