I do not
like large companies because of the PC stuff. Today I was fired from a contract that paid very well. Smaller company ( 10 million a year) ... Funny thing is I expect a call back any minute as even though the egos get out of hand at smaller companies, they eventually figure out that firing a guy because he tells you things you don't want to know , but has 95 percent approval rating from the larger companies you do business with is a bad move..
I might be close to retirement ...but...if he fills my position with a "Yes Man " even he knows it will cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Smaller companies often have owners who have no check and balance....This would have devastated me 15 years ago....but....I had one of the best times of my life today , as after years of experience I finally know my worth. Wait until tomorrow when he gives the owners the presentation without me. They will question the 37 million dollar Medical facility in L A that they are about to sign.
I have never been around a guy like this in 40 years and question how he made it out of the 70s. Especially here in California. Turns out that he has had huge ups and downs like his Dual Diagnosis personality. I don't hate him ,I just can't take the stuff he says seriously.
Damn , I am so happy I could retire tomorrow if I needed to. All good and thanks for reading my story . I now understand how bad it can get for amny in the workplace...Gol Blue ! Lovin life..
