1. Michigan State is terrible.
2. We are worse, despite the fact that we have more talent.
3. Harbaugh coached teams repeatedly beat themselves with stupid offensive and defensive penalties. Amid myriad QBs, OCs, DCs, RB and WRs, Harbaugh is the one constant that explains this team's annual underperformance in games of significance.
4. Here's hoping that, unlike Shea Patterson, Milton doesn't regress under Harbaugh, because he's even good right now as a pocket passer.
5. Many of you on this board will say "who are we going to get that's better than Harbaugh?" as a candidly lazy excuse not to look to replace him, but the fact of the matter is that UM will never amount to anything significant with Harbaugh at the helm. Never. UM will continue to be a great football PROGRAM, but a mediocre TEAM.
6. I cannot explain his past success, but its now time for Harbaugh to call it quits. The fact is that are 20-30 coaches out there with better offensive minds than Harbaugh who could succeed at UM. The school recruits more than the coach, and always will. Here's hoping Harbaugh's contract situation is a reflection of his desire to leave. Nothing would make me happier.
