3-4 defense?

Anyone else extremely perplexed why we didn't stick with the 4-3 that was successful against psu? And once you saw the 3-4 getting shredded, why so stubborn not to make an adjustment and load up to stop the run and dare them to pass? What am I missing here?

IDK, maybe wanted to keep as many of our stud linebackers on the field as much as possible?

I'm guessing that is sarcasm but yeah points to the fact that our d line has more play makers than our linebackers so why not have them on the field? But it really seems a 4-3 is built more to stop the run than a 3-4 and you'd think durkin would have learned from the indi game what not to do.....I keep reading about this massive talent disparity between us and Ohio but to me it just really seems their offense out coached our defense? If we are one punt away from beating the East champs we are good enough not to allow 360 yards of rushing.

The 3-4 defense MUST have a dominant nose to command the double team and be able to double gap. This allows for the play of extremely athletic linebackers to make plays and for the allowance of 8 players in coverage. Big problem for Michigan. Losing Mone and Glasgow leaves the Wolverines without a true nose and Bolden and company are not your 3-4 type linebackers. Michigan is much better Ina four man front BUT in the end, the Buckeyes have much more talent at the skill position. I hope that we play someone in the bowl game that can't run the ball well. If we are matched up with LSU that is not good for us. Fournette will kill us as will their speed. I will agree that Durkn did a poor job of planning for this game and his game time adjustments did not happen. I think he was busy interviewing for jobs this week because his fire was not there. Michigan should have never been blown out like that.
