Not anything earth shattering, but a couple of indicators are popping up as to how things may be shaping up for the conference schedule in 2024. The Arkansas St game that was on the 2020 schedule and rescheduled for 2024 is no longer on the Michigan Athletics website. So, you can probably deduce that we will likely never play that game against the Red Wolves. Furthermore, we might be heading toward a 10 game conference slate in '24. That's just a guess right now, but who knows? TV drives the money train and one thing I have picked up over the last few months is that the networks want more conference content. They have said repeatedly that games consisting of Michigan vs. Rutgers is far more valuable than Michigan vs. UNLV or BGSU etc. etc. Personally, I would like to see 10 conference games and hopefully the SEC follows suit for balance.
Will Texas and Oklahoma remain on the future schedules? I think those games are in jeopardy too.
