The long-anticipated 2020 NHL Draft will finally be conducted Tuesday night (round 1 only) and then Wednesday during the day (rounds 2-7). Usually scheduled for late June, the draft was moved back because of the pandemic crisis.

Tuesday’s first round will be carried on NBCSN, while Wednesday’s coverage will be on the NHL Network.

For those interested in Michigan content, current freshman centers Brendan Brisson and Thomas Bordeleau are expected to be chosen either late in the first round or early in the second round. Brisson will likely go before Bordeleau. Michigan freshman defenseman Jacob Truscott and class of ‘21 commit, defenseman Ethan Edwards, are both expected to go in the middle rounds, probably somewhere in rounds four to six.

There’s an outside chance that Michigan’s most recent commit, forward Jackson Hallum, could be selected late in the process.

I’ve seen a good number of the potential early round picks live. Solid group this year.

Michigan residents, who are also Red Wings fans, can look forward as the Wings use their stockpile of #4 overall in the first, three second, and two third round choices, plus a pick each in rounds four through seven. Plenty of rumors flying around today about the Wings potentially moving up or down in the first round. Wings GM Steve Yzerman plays things closer to the vest than almost any other GM, so believe the rumors at your own risk.

Please use this thread to keep all the discussion in one spot. Thanks and enjoy!
