What a great SECOND season for Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines going 10-3 and losing the three games by a total of 5 points. Harbaugh will also be landing his SECOND true recruiting class in February and will likely be in the top 7 once again. Jim is far ahead of the rebuilding schedule he walked into just two short years ago now sporting a 20-6 record. Yes, it was disappointing to lose to Florida State BUT FSU is an excellent program with excellent athletes year in and year out as evidenced by their DL whipping our Hoke era OL ass the entire night. Harbaugh's program will be coming into its own next year with his recruits. He is bringing the right kind of players into Ann Arbor to get into the playoffs. Some tidbits to think about for the future.
1. EVERYONE knows the Michigan OL was their Achilles heal this year. Why are on earth Kalis was stealing someone else's reps is something to be pondered? which leads into the second point.
2. PLAYING THE PROPER PERSONNEL. I'm sure Harbaugh gives freedom to his coaches to do this but why on earth Chris Evans and Ty Isaac never touched the ball more than they did is a complete mystery.
3. Michigan's over all team speed needs to be addressed and it is through recruiting. LB speed especially but it is needed everywhere.
4. Jehu Chesson was NON EXISTENT this year and that hurt. Lot's of dropped balls- BUT he was wide open quite a bit as well which leads into the next point
5. QB that fits today's game is NEEDED. I know that Speight is LOVED by Michigan fans but no doubt, his inability to RUN and his terrible play in the games that meant most is NOT the answer for a championship team. Compare Speight to the four QB's that are in the playoffs. NO COMPARISON at all. They are all a run threat.
6. MICHIGAN IS IN GREAT SHAPE UNDER HARBAUGH!!!!!!! GO BLUE!!!!!
