Hello to the UofM family. I lost a great man yesterday. My dad class of 1951 and a WW II vet I am sure many have gone through the same losing a father and it's tough growing up and through the years we attended many UM games together and it was great. When I joined the service in 1970 and went overseas the first letter I got from my mom she told me my father cryed like a baby and when I made it back the same thing happened when he saw me. When I was about 10 yrs old we were in a McDonald's and some kid was there short on money and my dad gave him a couple bucks. I asked about that and he told me if I was ever in a tough spot someone would do the same for me he said you never leave anyone behind that has always stuck with me. That's the greatest lesson he taught me and to this day I live by that rule. Rest dad you earned it. Your son Army 70 to 72 U of M class of 77

Your Dad helped raise a good boy! He gets to rest in peace now that you are who you are
