Illegal kick?), followed by a blown excessive celebration penalty which if I’m not mistaken negates the play?, as a means to justify Michigan is the better team.
What’s more? 1997 Missouri got blown out by Ohio $tate, in Columbia, MO, not Columbus, OH. Played 4 ranked opponents and won 1 in double-OT. They finished the season 7-5 and lost the Holiday Bowl to a WAC opponent.
IF Nebraska is #1, they should’ve beated a middle tier Big 12 contender, like Colorado turned out to be as that season progressed, soundly, handily. They should’ve beaten Missouri like Michigan beat Colorado.
