Obviously, Quinn Hughes was a first round pick this year, but 1995 was the last year Michigan had an incoming class where none of the incoming freshmen were drafted. This really is a depth class. Decommitments, the uncertainty around Red's departure and the coaching change really hurt here.

Mattias Samuelsson (2nd Round) decommitted for Western Michigan after his brother Lukas enrolled there instead of Michigan. Both were committed to Michigan
Bode Wilde (2nd Round) decommitted. He has not yet announced his intentions on where he was going to play. There was a rumor that there was a small chance he could matriculate second semester.
Alec Regula (3rd Round) decommitted for the OHL and the London Knights.

The D recruits would look much better with those three!

Sadly, Jack Hughes announced he is going to play for the NTDP again next year. He is by all accounts the leading candidate to be selected #1 in the 2019 NHL draft.

Mike Vukojevic, the Canadian defenseman, is likely a second round choice, and he decommitted for the OHL.

If Brady is talking about the class entering in 1995, they won titles in their freshman and junior years. Hayes, Ritchlin, Berenszweig, Rominski (sic), Crozier, Justin Clark and Daddario.

Another observation about the incoming (2018) 10-member class - only 2 18 year old freshmen (Randl and Lambert); 2 19-year olds, 3 20-year olds, 3 21-year olds.
