I’m admittedly slow, but it just occurred to me that 12 out of 32 NFL teams make the playoffs compared to 4 out of 129 teams in FBS college football. That really puts into focus for me how silly the college “playoffs” are. Personally, I liked with the old system of conference champ goes to designated bowl game, e.g., BIG winner to RB, but since that’s not coming back, if they’re going to have a “playoff,” it’s beyond time for it to be a proper one. When is that going to happen already?
