Heard from someone very connected that’s what the staff expects this offseason. I do not have names for who is planning to transfer, but I think some are a bit obvious. This free agency of college football is nuts. I have long believed that if a kid’s coach, or position coach, leaves he should be able to as well. But to just be able to jump schools on a whim and be eligible is not only terrible for the academics of the STUDENT athlete, but it makes roster management nearly impossible.
I think a realistic solution to this would be to mandate a player transfer (Enter portal) prior to early signing day to be eligible the next year at the new school. This would at least allow coaches the chance to recruit with new scholarship openings and go through the portal themselves for replacements.
