3. Harbaugh is Harbaugh. He is one hell of a coach and WE are fortunate to have him. He wants to play hard nosed Bo/Ditka football. Right?
What is it going to take to get 'us' there quicker.
A. OL. We have some potential road graders. Need more. Wilson? Ruiz? Guys who can move the pile. Kalis for all his brute strength couldn't pull if his life depended on it. Throw in Braden too.
Cole is not a road grader. He is pass blocker. Being a LT isn't necessarily cut out to take on nose guards. Harbaugh wants to run the ball then what do 'we' need to get there so the staff can pummel teams like at Stanford? More road graders and less pass blockers. Find a center and move Cole to tackle.
4. He wants a fullback. Hill is a very good H-Back but he misses blocks. 'We' need a guy like Houma who can run but is bigger. Who was the fullback for Nebraska back in the day? I know Harbaugh is after some guy from Georgia who looks nasty but need another backfield blocker that loves to hit lb'ers.
5. Obvious UM needs a guy who can grind at the tailback and not take 2 minutes to get going. Appreciate everything that Smith gave UM in effort. Need a power guy to grind for short yardage (think Dayne/Wheatley Sr.) and a complimentary quick guy like Perry/Hart/Biakabutuka.
Everything else is frosting on the cake like wr's. He has his TE's.
This is what needs to happen because when I look at this program...everything is in place except the OL and the rb's/fb's to fit Harbaugh's style.
